Here’s what David Hasselhoff said of singer Kevin Skinner, America’s Got Talent 2009 competition winner – www.mahalo.com/kevin-skinner …
“There’s no reason to move your lips unless you tell a story. Everybody was moved because he was telling a story, and you could tell it was coming from his heart, and it touched everybody. I don’t know what he did at the end of that song but it went right through me.”
That’s how I feel about our use of voice. Why waste our breath, unless we’re ready to allow the most brilliant and moving feelings to come from the core of our being?
Why speak, unless we wish to sense the golden notes of our own vocal magic dancing in the air?
Why have a voice, unless it’s to explore and express the music that we hear in every part of us?
As I write these thoughts, I strive to understand more of what really happens when I tell a story with my voice.
Magic happens. I become open and totally available to the beauteous movement of life. I feel strong and powerful, unaware of thoughts but aware of movement, of something readying to be released. I listen to that which has no language for my ears to decipher … and yet I am able to discern the subtleties of this energy. It waits for me and I am ready to begin.
I’m not trying to do something. Rather I’m growing an awareness of what’s possible. An awareness of what is in me right now. An awareness of communing with all life, simply from this intention to commune.
People talk about coming from the heart, yet this communing with life takes place at an undefined space that has an undetermined dimensionality. In my experiences of singing, the richness of sound that is produced depends on how relaxed you can be in giving yourself totally to the singing experience. You engage the whole of yourself in it.
The first sounds come … announcing a story that ripples the field of consciousness and engages those who are also ready to commune. Anyone who hears the music of my speaking or singing will be touched by the power of the emotion, as their own stories are being sung.
So, would you like to experience the power and beauty of your own voice? Well here’s an opportunity to discover more of the real you!

“The work I did with Santari was truly amazing. He ‘gets me’ and is able to see that part of myself that I don’t consciously connect to very often. He lives in a magical space where miracles happen. I really get now that I am more than I think or believe I am. Santari has given me the confidence to fully own myself and go out into the world and do what I came here to do.”
